face

At this time of the morning, my brain is still half asleep.

I think it was Friday night. Sis and I were in our parents' room. I was sitting on the bed. Sis was in the toilet. She just came out of the bath and we were talking. When she walked out of the toilet, she suddenly started staring at the wall, just above the laundry basket. I thought she saw a cockroach or something. I looked over...nothing...no creepy crawlie. That's when I saw what she was looking at.

Dad's towel which was put on top of the clothes rack, casted this rather "interesting" shadow. It looked like a person's face. Like when you looked at someone from the side. Gosh! I was so freaked out. If it wasn't still the hungry ghost festival, I don't think I'll be that scared. Maybe I'll even take a photo. I just moved the towel so that the shadow would change.

Saturday, had to go to school for JCG meeting in the morning.

Sunday, went to town with Sis and Desmond. Watched this chinese movie. Sis wanted to watch it coz there was Ekin acting in it. After which we walked around Orchard for a while then moved on to Suntec. Comex 2004. I wanted to check out the prices and different brands of mp3 players. I want one with radio as well. So now I'm looking at iRiver's and Creative's. But as always, you can't have the best of both worlds. iRiver's offers a good amount of space, 20GB...but that makes it rather costly.

Anyway, I didn't think Mum would be agreeable to pay for an mp3 player. So I've decided to pay for part of it. And get a loan from Mum first. With every pay I get, I pay her back a sum. Which means I'm paying for it myself.

laughter is the best medicine

More or less have gotten used to the gmail layout and functions. Built up my contact list. Updated the email for mailing lists etc. I still have 4 invitations for a gmail account. So yea...email/tag/leave a comment if you want one. Top priority for close friends.

This whole week has been ok. Nothing much unusual or interesting.

Had dinner with Nad yesterday at Bugis. And noted all the things to get when I get my next pay *which is soon!*.

Nad and I have been exchanging emails everyday. Whenever I'm bored or falling asleep, I'll email her. So we keep each other awake and happy while working...although most of the time I'm the one who is sleepy. -_-||| Very soon our emails can be compiled into a book. Like me and Per's "donnamonya" back in Sec 4. Per, it's still with you right?

And everytime I read something that's worth laughing about, I have this strong urge to laugh out loud. But can't do that. So I'll be like grinning away in front of the computer screen. Hopefully no one sees that.

But isn't it good to laugh out loud once in a while? A few days ago, my colleague came over to the place where I'm sitting. She wanted to teach me how to use this program and she had some documents to pass to me as well. She came over with a diskette. And oh my...she discovered the computer I'm using hasn't got a floppy drive. -_-||| So the 2 of us just started laughing.

While I walking home from the MRT yesterday, I passed the playground. Suddenly this girl of about 8 years *you can never tell their age by their height anymore...look who's talking anyway...* came up to me and went "Aunty...aunty...". -_-||| Since when have I become THAT old? Except the fact that Timmy calls me Aunty Elisia. But then again it's coz I'm his Dad's friend.

Well anyway, I thought her sibling fell down or something and needed some help. I could see her younger sister on the play equipment. Apparently I was wrong since her sister came down from the equipment and went "ni kan...ni kan." which means "look...look." in mandarin. So I looked at wherever she was pointing and saw nothing odd. That was until she said there was a couple having a snog fest. OH!

Yea...true enough. Behind the play equipment, at a bench, there was this couple making out. -_-||| Manz...you wanna show your affection for each other don't have to do it in plain view of the kids right?

invincible

[edited at 12.34pm on Thursday 26 August]
Read: I have 6 invitations to a gmail account. If you want an invitation, email/tag/leave a comment now. Close friends will get top priority.
[edited]

Wahahahahaha...I'M INVINCIBLE NOW! Thanks to Nad who sent me a gmail invite. Now I need not worry about a spammed mailbox when I'm on holiday.

I'll be making a few changes to the style of my blog. For instance, it will be changed to single-entry style. This is coz of certain circumstances that does not allow it to remain as weblog style.

I might also consider leaving provance. As the single-entry style will soon become a hassle to both provance users and me. Won't explain why now. Later on you will know.

Currently I've set my provance account to "away" mode. I will see how. On the one hand, it's a little sad to leave provance since I made new friends from there.

windows 2000

[edited at 8.43am on 24 August]
Ok, I did a search and I found that Windows XP users can still customize their folders but you gotta download some freeware. There's one called Windowpaper XP or something like that.
[edited]

Thought I'll squeeze in an entry before I go to sleep.

Zhi Hao showed me what Windows 2000 can do for your folders. You can customize your folders so they have picture backgrounds instead of the boring white.

So this was what I did since the office computer I was using is running on Windows 2000...

The folder where I store the documents on the computer.

My thumbdrive folder.

Unfortunately, I don't think Windows XP can do that.

the speech

Monday again. Do you have the Monday blues?

My attempt at staying put in front of the tv to watch PM Lee's National Day Rally speech failed. I've never cared much about politics and the nation's stuff. But at my age, I should at least know a little or else I might end up being an ignorant person all my life.

He was still on his first point when I started to feel tired. Talking about China and Taiwan. And a few minutes later, I gave up and went to bathe. Thus I missed the part where he congratulated Ronald Susilo and Li Jia Wei on doing well despite not getting any medal. I also missed the part on the 5-day working week. All of which I just read it in the newspaper, Streats.

August 22, 2004 @ 11.28pm

4 more years to wait

Oh manz...Li Jia Wei lost. Most of us thought she would secure at least a silver medal after she won the first 2 games at the semi-finals yesterday. If she could win the match against China's Wang Nan (ranked world #2 in table tennis), surely she could beat North Korea's Kim Hyang Mi (ranked world #40+). But alas, things began to go wrong and the hope of a silver medal slipped through our hands into North Korea's.

We didn't give up the hope in her to break Singapore's record of 44 years of no medals at the Olympics coz there was still the bronze medal. She had to fight it out against South Korea's Kim Kyung Ah.

She won the opening game but lost the next 3. Miracle would tell you that she'll win. Probability would tell you that she'll lose. And that was it. She lost the 5th game and there goes the bronze medal.

So, Singapore has to wait another 4 years to try again. However I still think that it's good that we made it to the quarter-finals for badminton (Ronald Susilo) and semi-finals for table tennis (Li Jia Wei).

Yesterday was the long awaited Natsu Matsuri. Natsu Matsuri (Summer festival) is held once every year. It marks the end of summer.

Per and Nad came over to my house. Per helped out in making onigiri (rice dumplings). After which, Sis, Per and I changed into our yukatas. Per borrowed Mum's yukata. Had some trouble with tying the obi so when we were finally left it was about 8pm.

Missed the performances. When we got there, everyone was already dancing...bon dance. More disappointment to follow...games have finished. No more yo-yos to catch. Luckily there was still quite a bit of food left. Finished all the coupons on food and drink. Plus the onigiri we made, none of us went home hungry.

Next year we shall prepare earlier. This year was quite a rush for me too since I had a JCG activity in the morning at NUS. Japanese tea ceremony. Didn't expect it to end so late. By the time I rushed home it was already 3+pm. So yea, I don't care, next year we shall go earlier.

some hope

[edited at 11.13pm]
GOSH! I just re-read my entry submitted earlier this morning and I realised I made a HUGE mistake. Now you know how sleepy I am at work. The line "I just hope the office computer is too slow or something and then screw up my application." is supposed to read "I just hope the office computer is NOT too slow or something and then screw up my application." Missed the "not" there which gave the sentence a whole new meaning.

Anyway, I managed to get my application in at 10.05am. Was parked in the school website at 9.50am, waiting for the clock to strike 10am. Called Sis but I think she was sleeping. Wanted her to standby to help me in case the office computer decided to be funny with me. Called Xiu Wei instead. The 2 of us so kan chiong there. And I think I got a bit TOO excited coz I think I got a little too loud. The lady from the next cubicle walked over, probably to take a look at who's the one talking so excitedly.

Yea...I was in the other department today since I'm working on one of their projects and the other internship students from NYP have finished with their internship. So there are spare computers.

Finally got to watch the Gymnastics finals that I taped. Manz...Khorkina looks much better when she smiles. I don't know...so far she's always got this "sullen" look on her face.
[edited]

Yay! Last day of the week. This week hasn't been a good one for me. Been nodding off at work.

10am...subject selection. I just hope the office computer is too slow or something and then screw up my application. Every semester, the list of CDS subjects are getting shorter and worse.

Today, I'll be working in the department next door. Slightly better computer. But the keyboard has a slight problem with the letter "d". I have to hit that key extra hard to get that letter typed. And in terms of privacy, this place isn't as good as my cubicle in my own department.

Yesterday, met up with Ling at Bugis for dinner and shopping. Had ramen at Ajisen. That girl really loves shopping I tell ya.

Per's so cute. She sms-ed me at 2+am to announce that Singapore's table tennis team's Li Jia Wei made it to the semi-finals. Yay! Some hope for Singapore! Anyway, I was sleeping already when Per sms-ed so I got to see the message only around 6am.

only hope

[edited at 12.44pm]
The "they" turned out to be Vernon A, DJ on Perfect 10. He just took another song, changed the lyrics and there. Haha...and I thought a song was especially written for Susilo.

Vernon A can be funny at times but doesn't beat Sheikh Haikel and Daniel Ong. Haha...read in the forum page of Streats. Someone wrote in to say that Mediacorp's move in firing Sheikh was harsh. And I do agree with that fella. It's obvious it was meant to be a joke. Well, Mediacorp could have just asked him to make an apology on air and warn him to be more careful in the future.
[edited]

[edited at 8.35am on August 19]
Wow...they actually wrote a song for Ronald Susilo. It's the Susilo Appreciation song. Cool! They meant to play that after his entry to semi-finals but obviously that didn't happen.

I think I should shut up already. One person less, rubbing it in. I mean, can you imagine it? Already you lost in a match, you're feeling super rotten. And the next day, you make it to headlines on radio, tv and newspapers which is like a constant reminder. It's like the whole world is trying to mock you.

[edited at 11.57pm]
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...our badminton player, Ronald Susilo lost! He lost to Thailand's Boonsak Ponsana. So sad...was hoping that he would win something for Singapore. Could clearly see that he was disappointed as well. Oh well...
[edited]

Good morning!

Haven't been feeling very good this week. Been sleeping late so I come to work a little tired. Have been trying to watch all the taped programmes from last week so I can tape more stuff. Nyahahahaha... Just set the VCR to tape the re-telecast of the women's gymnastics finals this morning at 9.30am. Was watching last week's competition. The Russians are good.

I guess all or most Singaporeans are tense and hopeful that our badminton player will manage to win something for Singapore. Ronald Susilo will be up against the Thai player this afternoon at the quarter-finals. He's our only hope since our table tennis team lost.

*crosses fingers*

return to athens

Brand new week. I feel the weekend wasn't enough since I didn't finish much of what I wanted to do. Still have a blog layout to work on, taped programmes to watch etc...

Friday was Mum's birthday. We all had dinner to celebrate it. After work, I rushed down to Taka to look for her present. Couldn't find a nice bunny plush to add to her collection. Oh well, went to Heeren's to get her a Hidamari no Tami. I promised that I would get one for her to put in her office. Her office cubicle has been nicknamed the stress-relief centre. She has some of these wooden toys hung at the corner where you could pull the string and the arms and legs of the toy would move. And in case some of you don't know what's a hidamari no tami, it's a toy...a little guy with a bobbing head. It works on solar energy. So when there's light, his head will start bobbing. Very cute. Xianglin bought one for me for my birthday.

Saturday morning, went back to school for JCG's movie screening "Azumi". Cool movie. Bloody but still ok since some parts look rather fake.

Qi Yuan informed me that we have 3 new members for our subcomm. I hope they do stay on till they graduate. Also hope that with that, our load will be lightened. Since Meizhi graduated already. Our subcomm was left with only me and Qi Yuan. Qi Yuan has taken the role of subcomm leader and also the whole bulk of work since I'm on SIP and ain't around in school. And our subcomm was on the verge of non-existence since I'll be graduating next year which means Qi Yuan will be the only member left.

After the movie screening, went home to have lunch and sleep. Slept...slept...AND NOBODY WOKE ME UP TO WATCH THE RE-TELECAST OF THE OPENING OF THE OLYMPICS!!! So I missed about half an hour's worth. Taped it since we had to go for dinner.

Went to Mum's colleagues' BBQ at East Coast Park. Got there a bit late so there wasn't much food left.

Yesterday, went to my grandparent's place. Got to see the new resident. A baby squirrel hamster. Been hearing from Mum that it was a baby squirrel. The maid found it in the garden so they all thought it was a squirrel. Until Sis and I went to see it...and it was a...HAMSTER?! -_-||| Mixed identity. Haha...

A lot about the Olympics. Heh...I only watch Gymnastics and Swimming competitions. Not interested in the rest.

August 13, 2004 @ 12.45pm

goodbye uncle goh, hello uncle lee

Friday the 13th! Quick! Run! Hide! No lahz...*smacks yer face* I'm not that superstitious. But today is Mum's birthday! Happy Birthday Mummy! I love you!

I have absolutely no mood to work today. So in between typing a few paragraphs, I'll be typing an email to Nad. She's like my email pal at work. Keeping each other company while working. Also, she keeps me awake. Wahahahaha...

I can switch off whenever I like. Just ask Nad, Geraldine, PK, Sof...those sitting around me in Secondary school. I can totally switch off during certain subjects and be totally awake for other subjects. So yea...I'm feeling sleepy when doing work. But if given something that I like doing, for example, time off to work on my blog layout. I tell ya, I'll be totally awake. But it's not like it's going to happen anyway. Impossible.

Maybe they should have a fire drill soon. Wahahahahaha...so some hours can be wasted. I want to go back to school can? I want to go shopping can? I want to SLEEP can?

Was email-ing Nad about Sheikh Haikel *note to Nad: that is the correct spelling*, local DJ/actor getting fired from Mediacorp Radio. No wonder this week he wasn't on air in the mornings. He co-hosts Morning Madness on Perfect 10 with Daniel Ong. Apparently, people have been writing in to the forum page of Straits Times to complain about his behaviour.

He gave some advice to a listener on how to approach a girl he liked. Telling the person to ask the girl whether she wore white panties. Yea...vulgar...but I don't think he meant that seriously. But I guess it's still taboo to joke about such stuff on air.

Oh well...Morning Madness isn't the same without Haikel. Really enjoyed listening to Haikel and Daniel Ong host. Funny...really funny.

Singapore has got a new Prime Minister, Mr Lee Hsien Loong. Yesterday night was the swearing-in ceremony. Few days ago, there was this article in Streats. A reporter went to ask teenagers on the street whether they knew who the new Prime Minister was. Shocking experience for the reporter coz most teenagers replied that they didn't know and didn't care.

But yea...how can you not know?! This man will be representing your country, leading your country. The fate of your lives also kinda depend on how well he carries out his duties and you DON'T KNOW WHO HE IS?! Sure, you don't care about politics so do I. But to the extent of not knowing your own Prime Minister's name?! Good grief! And I thought I was bad enough...

August 12, 2004 @ 12.55pm

look alike?

After taking some medication, I'm feeling much better. Luckily the medication stopped the drippy nose. Still have a little headache. No drippy nose but blocked nose. I think I might develop a dry cough later on.

Quite fed up with the computers. Since I'm helping out in the other department, I have to use different computers coz they don't have spare computers. I use whoever's computer if that person is not around. Usually it's between 3 particular computers.

Needed to edit some screenshots. Brought along my Adobe Photoshop installation cd. Alas! I can't install it coz that computer hasn't got enough space. In the end, I just went back to my own department since my computer there has got the programs I need.

Thinking about it... Everytime I see one of the judges for Singapore Idol, Florence Lian, I'm reminded of one of my poly lecturers. Don't know why. They don't exactly look alike although both have dyed long hair. Maybe coz the way they both speak.

Time is never enough when you wanna do the things you enjoy most. I have to juggle between JCG matters, working on my next layout, helping with friends' coding, shopping, watching tv and picking up on my sleep. All of which are done on weekends only. *wails*

August 11, 2004 @ 12.47am

drippy nose, teary eyes

Caught the flu bug that has been going around. So yea, I'm like next in line. Feeling rather uncomfortable. Nose is blocked on one side and the other has been dripping non-stop since I left office. Still have a headache.

Had dinner with some of Mum's friends. It was a dinner to celebrate Mum's birthday which is this Friday. Had a tough time eating with a drippy nose and teary eyes.

Hate the feeling when you wanna sneeze but you can't, then your eyes go all teary.

Drippy nose equals leaky tap. Feel like plugging it up. *grrr*

Went to see the doctor and got mc for tomorrow. I think I shall go rest now.

August 09, 2004 @ 9.22pm

we are singapore

*sings* We are Singapore. We are Singapore, SINGAPOREEEEEAAAAANNNNNSSSS~~~

WOOHOO!!! MAKE SOME MORE NOISEEEEE!!!

Here's how I spent National Day. In the morning, went down to see this house with my family. Mum is still hoping to move into a bigger house so that my grandparents can move in with us.

After which, my uncle drove me to Aljunied to meet 7ners. Nad, Sof and PK were MIA. Spent the afternoon in CJ's house watching 2 movies. "Center Stage" and "Chasing Liberty". If you watched Mandy Moore's MTV "I Wanna Be With You", you would notice the focus on ballet and the floor had the words "Center Stage". Yep...it was for the movie "Center Stage". And yep, the movie focuses on ballet. The dreams and aspiritions of a group of ballet students at the American Ballet Company.

Rushed home to watch the National Day parade on tv. Per wanted to rush home in time to see the fighter planes fly past. She was afraid she couldn't make it so I offered to come over to my house since you can actually see the planes fly past. As in not on the tv screen but actually across the sky. But...finally, she managed to get home on time. Yay!

And as always, everyone looks forward to the ending. The fireworks display. Always manages to captivate the crowd. A short tribute to our Prime Minister, Mr Goh Chok Tong who will be stepping down on August 12, passing over his duties to Mr Lee Hsien Long.

Yupz...and today is the first telecast of Singapore Idol on tv. Oh my...I really had goosebumps when some contestants who couldn't sing came in front of the judges. There was this fella who came all the way from Shanghai just to try his luck. Whoa...he was persistant...more like insistant. Sure he could sing...but not your usual pop...opera. It just didn't work out. Look manz, you aren't what the judges are looking for so just face it. And it wasn't like the judges criticised your singing. Well, security almost had to drag him out before he finally accepted it and walked out. Oh...and he started crying.

My question is...isn't it supposed to be SINGAPORE IDOL?

Oh well...tomorrow's back to work for me. I better take care. I think I'm coming down with flu. My throat has that weird feeling whenever I'm going to get a sore throat. And I've started sneezing quite a bit. Now my nose is kinda blocked and dripping.

August 09, 2004 @ 2.05am

one people, one nation, one singapore

Since it IS past midnight...

HAPPY 39TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE! Wooooo...MAKE SOME NOISE~~~~

Ok...time to sleep now. Update later.

August 07, 2004 @ 1.17am

spirited away

For those who couldn't get a copy of Streats. Here's a scan of the article. Simple but beautifully written. The first 2 paragraphs...that was exactly how we felt.

It's quite amazing. I went down to the first floor of my office to get more copies of the newspaper. It was 9.15am. And the whole stack was gone! I reached office at 8.30am. In less than an hour, the whole stack of newpapers was gone. Usually there's one stack near the lifts and another smaller stack at the reception counter.

Met up with my poly friends for dinner at Siglap. Thought we were going to go somewhere. Ended up at KFC. Tight budget for everyone. Including me. Mum has stopped giving me allowance since I got my full pay.

But I wouldn't mind if they went to Coffee Club. Coz I love the Aglio Olio there. Plus the muddy mud pie. Woooooo... Anyway, I don't really mind any place. I'm quite ok if it's fast food or better food or foodcourt food. Although I don't really fancy the ambience and environment of a foodcourt, sometimes it's good to eat there. Cheaper food. Like the chicken rice at Century Square foodcourt...$2.50 only but still good. :)

After dinner, moved over to Starbucks and had our round of chats. Don drove us home later.

Did you guys catch the Japanese cartoon "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi", also known by its English title "Spirited Away" on Channel 8 yesterday *Thursday August 5* night? It's a great anime. Has this touch of supernatural yet making it not too fairytale-like. And my favourite character in "Spirited Away" is this fella...

Yep...that black figure with a mask. He's this monster. His mouth is under the mask by the way. He's just this lonely thing. And he finds friendship and company with Chihiro.

Studio Ghibli's works are classic. The creators of Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Kiki's Delivery Service but to name a few. So far I've only watched "Spirited Away" and "The Cat Returns". *ermz...don't know whether I got that right, can't exactly remember the title*

Mr Quah's funeral service is tomorrow at 1pm at St Bernadette Church. I wanna go but due to personal reasons, can't. Plus I have work. :(

Mr Quah, may you rest in peace.
[edited]

Just got off Mr D's blog. Seems like all his students are flocking there to get last minute help for their term test tomorrow.

I see all these juniors and I can relate to them. I see all these juniors and I see myself in them. Nothing new. Left some comments, hope it helps them. I'm not trying to act like I know it all. Coz I know I'm not. I'm not the top student or the Java expert. But if I can help in anyway, I want to. With that, I'll leave the Java questions to Mr D while I help with those who have everyday problems. I help by sharing with them what I've been through.

So why nothing new? At Sec 3, I was sleeping in class most of the time. So I thought I still had Sec 4 *around 7-8 months* to study for the O'levels. So why worry? I was so wrong. And now I'm stuck with O'level results that no one can be proud of.

Yea well, Nad still laughs at the emails I sent to Miss Tan just before the Literature exam in Sec 3. Last minute cramming. Since I slept in class, I didn't know what was going on. It's the same as how the juniors are now parked at Mr D's blog. See...nothing new.

Then there's somebody who said she had no confidence even though her friends tell her she's ok with Java. I see this comment and I see myself. The most logical and perhaps most politically correct answer to this would be to say "Oh don't worry, you're fine". But I'll leave that answer to those who know they can. What right have I to tell people that when I myself struggle from the very same problem?

It's something only we alone can deal with. But it makes a great big difference to know that there are people out there who will never give up on you. The ones who believe in you. Those are the people who keep me running along *even if I'm lagging behind*. Those are the people who will not allow me to give up. And I know I can rely on them *take a short break* before running along again.

August 04, 2004 @ 12.50pm

global ime

Downloaded the Global IME thingy in my computer so now I can type chinese characters. Per told me about it before but I didn't quite know what was it until I used it in office. I'm s.l.o.w...haha...

And as always, my cranky computer decided to go funny again. After downloading the thingy, the internet explorer couldn't load websites. Only livejournal blogs could. But the rest, it would be just blank white screens. I hope it's nothing to do with my downloading. :(

Quite a few people getting sick. Nad, Per, Aisha... Same advice as always. Drink lotsa water. Rest well. And take care. Get well soon!

More or less time to change the layout for this blog. I have all these layouts in mind. Everytime I listen to a song or watch a show, then I start thinking how a layout would look like to match a song or vice versa. :)

some news

[edited at 1.55am]
Just did a quick round of blog visiting. I guess every sacian's or ex-sacian's blog entry will be the same tonight. I feel so much yet I cannot put it down in words. If someone's passing, someone whom you know even if he/she isn't close to you, is already this sad. I wonder what will happen when someone close passes away? Please God, let me fully believe that what Mum said is how it seems to be. That it should be beautiful and calming.

And it dawned to me...why it rained this morning.
[edited]

This is Monday's entry.

Some people just have a way of making headlines. This man ar...sayless *Nad invented that word which means "Speechless"*. This man caused an accident consisting of nine vehicles and killed 2 people. This man, well...let's call him - stupid fella, is a real goonz but hey, what can one say when he's suspected to be dizzy with drinks and drugs.

So, it goes like this...stupid fella is coming out of a parking lot, he hits a car *vehicle 1*. The impact sends vehicle 1 crashing into the back of a car *vehicle 2*. But did stupid fella stop? Noooooo, he REVERSED and hit a car *vehicle 3* parked behind. Which in turn hits another car *vehicle 4*. Stupid fella runs into a woman *dead person 1* and continues backwards until he hits a motocycle *vehicle 5*. Then, did stupid fella decide to stop? Noooo, he went FORWARD AGAIN. Hitting vehicle 1 again, before hitting the car *vehicle 6* to the right of it. Still going forward, he hits a lorry *vehicle 7*. So *yes yes we are getting impatient*, did stupid fella stop or not? Noooo, he REVERSED AGAIN and runs into the woman AGAIN and also hits a man *dead person 2* next to her. Without stopping, he hits one lorry *vehicle 8* and another *vehicle 9*. Yea yea, NOW did stupid fella stop? Noooo, he went FORWARD YET AGAIN. Hits vehicle 1 YET AGAIN. IS STUPID FELLA GOING TO STOP OR NOT?! Ahhhh yes, he decides to stop NOW.

Amazing huh? By the way, the man he killed was his good friend. And you think stupid fella should be hung upside down from a ceiling fan ya? Noooo, he's on bail for $10,000. Manz...his conscience should really eat him now and he should really consider committing suicide. Oh yea, now you know why they have those "Don't drink and drive" campaigns. Coz Singapore has stupid people like that fella who think that he won't make mistakes after drinking.

Headlines aside. Mr Quah passed away this morning. The whole morning, different messages from different ex-sacians all passing the same news. I really don't know but I think it's cancer. Coz a few months back, he was in bad shape coz of cancer. Then, everybody went on with their lives. And now, he has gone back to the Lord.

I don't know what to feel. Same goes for most I think. It's kinda ironic in a way. Back in my secondary school days, most students would wish him dead or gone coz he "tortured" us in P.E. Not to mention he also passed mean remarks. Yea, he sure didn't make it to the list of well-liked teachers. Yep, so he's passed away now. Ermz...be careful of what you wish for?

But however mean he was, he's after all still our teacher. If not for his "torture", would many of us pass our physical fitness test? Would we be brought up to be disciplined?

May he rest in peace.

friday five on a sunday

Haven't done this in a long time. Quite fun come to think of it.

The Friday Five

1) Of everything in your wardrobe what do you feel the most comfortable wearing? Why?
The usual tees and jeans. Coz there's not much of a hassle whether it matches or not. Quite universal that kinda thing.

2) How would you describe your style?
Normal...haha...I'm not the kind who would start a fashion trend. But I feel like having a change in style. More girly and daring. Daring does not include wearing skimpy outfits ok...I still have love and respect for myself.

3) How many pairs of shoes do you own and do you wear them all?
Hmmm...*thinks* if slippers are not counted then it would be around 6 pairs. No, don't wear them all. One or 2 pairs I usually wear most of the time. The rest, if the occasion is right then I'll wear.

4) Where do you buy most of your clothes?
Depends. Mostly from moderate priced shops. OP, Giordano...

5) What was the last piece of clothing you bought?
Are socks counted? Coz if they are then it would be a black pair of knee-high socks. If not counted then a black ruffled skirt and a black top with ribbons on the sleeves. *haha...a bit punk...maybe Ling is getting her wish...punky eli*
