Layout: [version 14] color of your spoon
Done by: Me
Description: Version 13 has been sitting too long on this site! I had to come up with something to replace it. It's been quite some time that I wanted to feature Olivia on a layout. I love her songs which often have this slight tinge of a dark side. Sometimes her songs really express what I truly feel inside and how I think. To go with the whole colour theme, I got a script that changes the background colour with every click of the refresh button. Neat huh?
past layouts

Layout: [version 13] lovin' it
Done by: Me
Description: New layout...so soon? Yes. Quite ashamed of the bad blending for the previous layout. I loved the carefree pictures of Takahashi Ai in her photobook. Had to use them for my new layout. Very girlish. Back to the traditional slicing of images and all.

Layout: [version 12] friendship, innocence, youth
Done by: Me
Description: Featuring the Berryz Koubou girls. I fell in love with this set of promotional photos. Actually I already had a totally different layout in mind but then I decided to just stick with this format for one last time. Hmmm...but it seems I didn't do a good blending...

Layout: [version 11] beauty
Done by: Me
Description: Featuring the Morning Musume girls in their promtional video for "Iroppoi Jirettai". I couldn't feature all 10 girls so I had to pick the ones who were in the "right" pose. So sorry to Konkon, Reina and Risa. I wanted a title that meant both beauty and strength/power but couldn't think up of something good so I just went ahead with beauty. The colours used were also on purpose since it is around the Chinese New Year period. Red = auspicious colour.

Layout: [version 10] final distance
Done by: Me
Description: This layout is based on Utada Hikaru's "Final Distance". A very emotional song. The images used for the banner is from the PV, my favourite scenes. I interpret it as both people are trying to understand each other. But there's a panel between them which is like a barrier. It's like how people in a relationship are. To understand another, you have to let the other sort of "accept" you which is the barrier you have to overcome.

Layout: [version 9] dot dot slash
Done by: Me
Description: Firstly, credit for the photo goes to Perrine who took this at Maiko bridge in Kobe, Japan. Wanted something simpler. Far cry from the previous layout which was more fan-girlish. Don't get me wrong, I'm still very much into NewS. Thinking about my life so far...nothing much to say about it. I'm not adventurous, not sporty, not exceptionally good at anything. Plain. Simple. Normal.

Layout: [version 8] massu
Done by: Me
Description: First layout for this blog when it went into WordPress mode. At this moment, very into NewS and Takahisa Masuda. Thus, the banner. C'mon, he seems to be smiling all the time. So sunshine-y. Per says she doesn't know what he's so happy about. =)

Layout: [version 7] i am special
Done by: Me
Description: Went on hiatus for a short while to re-arrange everything. Re-did almost everything with Hilary Duff as the topic of all the layouts. Same concept as the previous layout. I wanted to add some words but felt it would be too cluttered so I dropped the idea. Wanted to add the lines from Hilary's song "I Am"..."I am special. I am beautiful. I am wonderful and powerful, unstoppable. Sometimes I'm miserable. sometimes I'm pitiful. But that's so typical of all the things I am." I felt in a way it's like me. I'm so many things yet there's only one unique me.

Layout: [version 6] pink of ayu
Done by: Nadine
Description: Nad asked me some time ago who or what was I going to feature on my layout. She told me she was going to make a layout for me. And there! Tadaa! I love the layout loads. Although, side scrolling isn't encouraged for good website design, I still love this layout!!!

Layout: [version 5] death is your gift
Done by: Me
Description: Felt an impact when I heard that quote from Buffy The Vampire Slayer season 4's last episode. I don't really know what it means but I think it was meant to say that you think you're everything. You think you know what will come, what to do. But in actual fact you're not.

Layout: [version 4] my happy ending
Done by: Me
Description: Changed to something simpler. Using tables, div tags and just a banner. The banner...my first try with Adobe Photoshop brushes. Loved the song "My Happy Ending" by Avril Lavigne so decided to do the layout. Somehow I felt the title of the song described how I felt at that point in time. Although it was more of irony...

Layout: [version 3] darkness
Done by: Me
Description: Finally, a layout that featured somebody. My favourite Japanese artiste, Ayumi Hamasaki. I really admire her. At a relatively young age, she's so successful. Churning out singles and albums so frequently. Even has her own cartoon figure called "Ayupan" and clothing line "MTRLG" which stands for "Material Girl". Also her own music/talkshow, "AyuReady?". Ok ok...more talk on the layout. As Ling commented, it looked so nadine-ish. Haha...half true coz I draw my inspirations from Nad's designs. I'm always awed by how she manages to churn out good stuff. She picks up stuff really fast. So if you need a freelance designer, I would recommend her. *smilez* It is also through my friends' websites that I learn how to code html with notepad and CSS. I see something and I would be like "how did she do it?" then I'll check the sourcecode and understand it then do something similar. So I'm not exactly copying people's stuff.

Layout: [version 2.2] baka no onna - just a silly little girl
Done by: Me, Nadine
Description: See above.

Layout: [version 2.1] baka no onna - o tanjoubi
Done by: Me, Nadine
Description: Nad used to draw these girlies in Secondary school. So I got her to help me draw out 2 different girlies. One holding a balloon coz this layout was going up on my birthday. Added the Japanese words "baka no onna", which means "stupid girl". No prizes for correct guesses on who I was referring to.

Layout: [version 1] i am who i am
Done by: Me
Description: My very first blog layout. I just loved the photo and decided to display it. The photo is of curtains in this bed and breakfast house we stayed in during an Australia trip. There were blinds behind the curtains so when the sun shone through, it made this interesting pattern on the curtains. And what made it more beautiful was that the curtains were translucent.
